Billijane is a second year nursing student at Dalhousie University
who is bilingual in English and French. She plans to complete the
nursing program and then further her education to become a nurse practitioner.
Her career ambitions are to work in a health care setting involving
newborns, as well she would like to eventually start her own business
designing clothing.
Billijane studied violin and singing since she was very young and
has preformed at many different events. She also took on the challenge
of running her own business teaching violin to young children. As
well she works as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
Billijane also enjoys being involved in helping the community around
her. She has volunteered in many different areas such as the Terry
Fox run, Relay for life for Cancer, working with special needs children,
teaching skating to children, giving to the food bank, as well she
organized and held two big events at her school to raise money for
a cancer patient and to give underprivileged girls the opportunity
to buy prom dresses. She was also awarded a volunteer service award
in her area.
Billijane’s hobbies include skiing, swimming, hockey, scrapbooking
and interior decorating.
