Laxmi is an ambitious, caring and creative woman who loves a challenge
and working hard to achieve something. Enrolled at the University
of Toronto, Laxmi is majoring in French with a double minor in Economics
and Classical Studies. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree Laxmi
plans to complete an MBA and then begin a career in international
business.
Growing up in a multicultural family, Laxmi has always been interested
in other cultures. She has just begun teaching herself a fifth language.
Laxmi also loves to travel with plans to visit Scotland this summer.
Her ultimate goal is to visit every continent at least once.
Laxmi’s parents were both very involved in the community and taught
her the importance of giving back. From a very young age she has been
volunteering her time to better her community. At four years old,
Laxmi helped to cut the ribbon to open her local municipal building.
At age eight she trained in first aid to volunteer at community events
with St. John Ambulance. She is very excited about continuing her
work with kids, by being a soccer coach this summer as she truly believes
in keeping kids active and promoting healthy lifestyles for young
women.
