Mona received her Bachelor of Commerce with High Distinction from
the University of Toronto – the highest honour awarded at her convocation
ceremony. Prior to that she attended the University of Toronto Schools,
a gifted high school consistently ranked number one in Canada. The
enriched curriculum at UTS was no match for Mona’s strong study ethic:
she attained straight A’s on her entire high school transcript.
At the impressive age of only 19, Mona was hired by “big four” accounting
firm Deloitte & Touche. Now 22, she works full-time in Deloitte’s
Audit practice and is concurrently pursuing her Chartered Accountant
(CA) designation with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
She is an external auditor to Cadbury, Sunquest Vacations and Sears,
to name a few. In the future, Mona plans to use her experience as
a CA to work as an executive at a large Canadian corporation.
A talented musician, she has studied piano, viola, and classical Indian
dance, as well as composed and produced 16 original songs. Her vocal
abilities have also received praise.
Between studying for her CA exams and working at Deloitte, Mona enjoys
shopping, spending time with family and friends, cruising in her car
and watching television.
