Serena is in her third year of Kinesiology, majoring in Fitness
and Lifestyle at the University of Regina. Aside from her studies,
she has become involved in a number of volunteer activities in her
community. For example, she had the privilege of being a student ambassador
and director for school awareness on behalf of Kid’s Help Phone. Most
recently, she has dedicated herself to the rehab centre in her community
by assisting people with physical and mental disabilities. Not only
is Serena highly involved with her community, she was presented with
numerous scholarships for her education. Some of her successes include
a Luther College Major award, Regina’s Club One recognition, and a
Luther College double gold medallion in school cultural involvement.
Originally born in Santiago, Chile, Serena hopes to finish her degree
and travel internationally as a fitness trainer for athletes with
and without physical disabilities. Serena’s passions include cheerleading,
which she was highly active in for 7 years. Not only did she stunt
and cheer for the Regina Rams, she competed at the PCA Nationals in
Mississauga in 2003. She speaks English, French, and Spanish. Her
hobbies include modeling, drawing, running, spending time with friends
and family and writing her book.
