With this being her final year of high school, Stephanie will attend
university in hopes of obtaining a science degree and also continue
as a competitive cross country skier. Stephanie has received many
honors and awards over the years for her accomplishments, speak offs,
science fairs, school sports, and cross country skiing. At the young
age of 6, she began competing in cross country skiing races. She has
been a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Cross Country
Ski Team for the past 4 years, travelling all across Canada for competitions
with her fellow teammates. Her most memorable ski trip would have
to be the Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon in 2007.
Stephanie has won athlete of the year at her high school twice and
has won the Premier Athletic award for 2006. She is also a qualified
lifeguard and swimming instructor.
Stephanie has been involved in volunteer work in her community for
the Red Cross, local food banks and the community fire brigade. She
is also a junior cross country ski leader at Mt. St. Margaret ski
club. In her spare time, she loves to listen to music, read, and socialize
with close friends.
